School Author Visits

NOW BOOKING FOR SPRING 2026!

Richmond, Va. author Kris Coronado will lead elementary students of all ages on a true tale of imagination in a 40-45 minute presentation of what it takes to make a nonfiction picture book. 

She will share her HarperCollins debut, Lighthouse Ladies: Shining a Spotlight on Hardy Heroines, while showing how to bring hidden histories to life.

Book sales: For Richmond area visits, online purchases will be coordinated with bbgb books in Carytown. Bbgb will provide an online ordering page, as well as flyers that can be printed and sent home with students. Signed books will be delivered on the day of and week following the visit.

Free education guide: Available for download.

Session Rates: $250 with a 35 book purchase minimum.

Fee can be waived with a purchase of 50 books or more. Parent book purchases count toward total. You can also consider buying books to donate to nonprofits that work with Richmond area children that Kris is currently collecting books for.
